The universities have also been asked to ensure they have grievance redressal cells manned by a nodal officer.
"This would help in effective redressal of the grievances," it said.

The nodal officer, the person in-charge, of the grievance cell of the university will monitor and respond to students' grievances lodged on the portal.

"The officers in addition to handling grievances of respective university will also be responsible for handling grievances of colleges affiliated to their university and report the action taken on the portal," the UGC said.

The Ministry of Home Affairs is preparing the dossier on the basis of service records of the officials.

The ministry has dispatched letters to various departments and all the paramilitary forces to finalise the list by August 05.

The list would include names of those officers who, after enquiry or during the course of enquiry have been found to be lacking in integrity. The dossier will be approved by the competent authority.

The dossier will be forwarded to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The agencies will keep a tab on such officials and take necessary action against them.

- एक अफसर ने बताया, "22 जून को बैट का एक घुसपैठिया मारा गया था। इसकी बॉडी को लोकल पुलिस को सौंप दिया गया है। हमें यकीन है कि एक और आतंकी मारा गया, लेकिन उसकी बॉडी दूसरे आतंकी साथ ले गए।"

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) is expected to announce Tamil Nadu Board HSC 12th Supply Results 2017 on July 25 (Tuesday).

Tamil Nadu Board Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Plus two exams will be available on tnresults.nic.in

The annual exam was held in March. Girls continued to outshine boys in the 2017 Higher Secondary Examinations in Tamil Nadu, the results for which were announced on May 12, 2017.

The overall pass percentage stood at 92.1 per cent. A total of 8,93,262 students had appeared for the exams held in March this year. One transgender student also cleared the exams.

किसी भी टीम को चुनने में चयन समिति की प्रमुख भूमिका रहती है। भले ही भारत की टीम फाइनल नहीं जीत सकी हो, लेकिन हेमलता ने वर्ल्‍ड कप के लिए चुनी जाने वाली टीम में अनुभव और जोश को तरजीह दी। उन्होंने इंग्लैंड जाकर टीम में जोश भरा। कोटद्वार की शिवपुरी निवासी स्व. मुसद्दीलाल काला और विंदेश्वरी काला की बेटी हेमलता काला का जन्म आगरा में हुआ।

न्होंने 78 वनडे मैच खेले इसमें 110 रन उनका सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन रहा। हेमलता 2014-15 में भारतीय महिला टीम की कोच रहीं। बाद में बीसीसीआइ ने उन्हें चयनसमिति में जगह दी। इसके बाद उन्हें वर्ल्‍ड कप जाने वाली टीम के चयन की जिम्मेदारी दी गई।

Man who saved Mahatma Gandhi passes away

Mumbai: Bhiku Daji Bhilare, who was claimed to have saved Mahatma Gandhi from being killed by Nathuram Godse in 1944, passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness.

The 98-year-old Gandhian, popularly known as 'Bhilare Guruji', was cremated at his village, Bhilar, in Mahabaleshwar Teshil in western Maharashtra's Satara district, family sources said.

"All of us had assembled in the Batha High School hall for the evening prayers when suddenly a door opposite me opened and in rushed Nathuram Godse. He was wielding a knife and muttering incoherently."

Bhilare blocked his path and twisted the knife out of his hand.

"My colleagues in the Seva Dal were also quick to react, and threw him out of the premises," he had recalled.

Bhilare had also claimed that Gopal Godse and Narayan Apte, who were implicated in the Mahatma's assassination, were present at the spot.

The Panchgani incident has been documented in the memoirs of Gandhiji's close associate, said Pyarelal, a functionary of Mani Bhawan in Mumbai from where Mahatma Gandhi initiated satyagraha and propagated the cause of swadeshi.
